Unsettled: HOME in a world of migration

This festival has concluded. Please visit the 10th Annual Immigration Film Fest site to view the current schedule.

Welcome to the 2022 Immigration Film Fest! This year we are bringing you a hybrid film festival with virtual screenings via Eventive (from October 13 - October 23) and four in-person screenings in the Washington, DC Metro area, from October 13 - October 16.

By clicking the SCHEDULE button, you will see all of the events that are taking place, when and where they will occur, and buy tickets to any of the in-person screenings you'd like to attend or any of the virtual screenings you'd like to watch. If you live in the DC-Metro area, and are specifically interested in attending our in-person screenings, then scroll down to the bottom of the SCHEDULE page to purchase those tickets.

This year’s Immigration Film Fest explores the nature of home. Is it a place, a safe space, a feeling, a memory, a person, or something more?

The 2022 World Migration Report estimates that in 2020 there were over 281 million people living outside of their country of birth, whether because of forced displacement, climate change, or moving to seek better opportunities. Of that number, the UN estimates that 89.3 million people were forcibly displaced from their homes due to persecution, conflict, and human rights violations. They estimate that nearly half of these forced migrants are children.

Join us here and in person to share their stories, their hopes, and their yearning to settle and to be at home in the world. Watch IFF 2022 selections at HOME with family or join us in Washington D.C. for four days of in-person festival screenings, from October 13 - October 16, 2022 and join us globally for ten days of virtual screenings from October 13 - October 23, 2022.
